About Our Academy
Building careers in tech since 2018
Our Story
Founded in 2018 by a group of tech professionals frustrated with the gap between traditional education and industry needs, verdant-sparrow began as a small workshop series in downtown Toronto.
What started with ten students meeting in a co-working space has grown into a respected educational institution serving hundreds of learners across Canada each year. Our growth stems from a simple philosophy: teach what employers actually need.
We maintain close relationships with hiring managers at Canadian tech companies, continuously updating our curriculum to reflect current industry standards. Every project you complete mirrors real work you will encounter in your career.

We believe in learning by doing. Theory has its place, but lasting knowledge comes from applying concepts to real challenges.

Every module culminates in a portfolio-ready project that demonstrates your skills.

Industry Partnerships
Our relationships with Canadian tech employers give our students a competitive edge. We work directly with hiring teams to understand what they seek in candidates.
Partner companies regularly participate in guest lectures, portfolio reviews, and our quarterly career fairs. Many offer internship opportunities exclusively to verdant-sparrow students.
